Riverside Research announced March 21 the appointment of Dr. Steven Omick as President and CEO, effective March 28, 2016.

“Dr. Omick brings a wealth of knowledge that will facilitate his seamless transition to Riverside Research,” Riverside Research Chairman of the Board Thomas Pitts said. “We are confident his technical acumen and business background will serve him well as he leads the company on its successful path into the future.”

Omick brings more than 28 years of research and executive leadership experience in the private sector and defense and intelligence industries to Riverside Research, a not-for-profit research organization best-known for its expertise in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. He holds a bachelor, master and PhD degrees in electrical engineering and has led research programs and published in the field of computational electromagnetics.

Omick previously served as Vencore Labs’ President and Rincon Research Corporation’s President and CEO.

He succeeds Richard Annas, who has served as Riverside Research’s President since 2010 and will stay on for a short period of time to assist with the transition.
