It was announced on January 14th by Reston, Va.-based Serco that it has been awarded a three year extension on their IDIQ Global Installation Contract by the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR). This extension will allow Serco to continue to compete for tasks under the $1.4 billion contract ceiling.
For over 25 years Serco has supported SPAWAR along with the Air Force, Coast Guard, Customs and Border Protection and port authorities with the installation and testing of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems. Serco originally won a spot on the ID/IQ Global Installation Contract 5 years ago and in that five years it has won over 250 task orders, valued at approximately $300 million.
