It was announced on October 23rd by information technology and management consulting firm Project Performance Company (PPC) that it has won a five-year, $4.5 million contract to operate, manage, and enhance the Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
PPC will be partnering with OSIsoft, who developed a specialized software that allows federal and state emergency responders to access, analyze, and assess information related to nuclear plant emergencies. PPC will provide program management, operations and maintenance, cybersecurity, software development services to continue their successful support of ERDS.
Paul Strasser, Chief Executive Officer at PPC stated, “This contract award can be attributed to PPC’s long-standing support of this mission critical system and our diligence in offering new technology and expertise to ensure it stays secure and continues to provide essential emergency response services.”
