It was announced on November 2nd by AT&T Government Solutions that it has been awarded a five year contract with the U.S. Census Bureau. AT&T will provide services to census takers that will allow them to use mobile applications to bring together and distribute survey data in near real-time.
Mike Leff, Vice President-Civilian at AT&T Government Solutions stated, “We’re excited to provide advanced mobility and IoT services to the Census Bureau to help it transform and improve its data collection programs.”
The AT&T Control Center is an IoT management platform that the Census Bureau will be using to monitor, understand and control its wireless network usage, which will include managing, setting up and activating SIM cards.
