The Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) will host the 31st Annual William Oliver Baker Award Dinner on June 5, 2015, at the Washington Marriott Marquis, in Washington, D.C. The Honorable Mike Rogers and C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger will be presented with the William Oliver Baker Award for their service to the U.S. intelligence and national security communities.
From 2011 to 2014, Rogers (R-MI) and Ruppersberger (D-MD) were chairman and ranking member, respectively, of the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI). Together, their stewardship of the HPSCI was widely-applauded for a bipartisan, pragmatic approach that promoted national security interests and minimized political posturing. Beginning in 2011, the pair worked together to pass five intelligence authorization bills during the next four years, following a six-year period without one.
A welcome reception will begin at 6 p.m., with the dinner and program at 8 p.m. Dress is black tie or mess dress attire. The cost to attend is $395 for INSA members, $495 for non-members and free for federal employees.
Registration closes May 22.
