Leidos Holdings Inc., of Reston, Va., announced May 19 the appointment of Jonathan Scholl as Health and Engineering Sector President, effective June 22, 2015.

“We are excited by the energy and impressive background that Jonathan brings to Leidos,” Leidos Chairman and CEO Roger Krone said. “He is coming from the executive ranks of a nationally known healthcare company, and he has extensive experience working with systems nationwide in strategy development, operations enhancement, change management and physician practice planning. We believe this insight will help him drive our businesses forward to achieve greater success. We look forward to him joining the team.”

“I am honored to be selected for this position, and look forward to working with the talented and dedicated employees of Leidos,” Scholl said. “Leidos is a unique company with a rich history, but by many measures it’s just getting started. It has the infrastructure and intrinsic capabilities to grow and to transform the industries it serves. I look forward to doing my part to take care of our customers and move these businesses forward.”

Scholl will be responsible for leading nearly 7,000 employees working in the areas of healthcare IT, electronic health records, advanced data analytics, health and life sciences, and clinical research. He will also oversee operations related to energy grid and critical infrastructure, design, engineering and transportation security products. He has previously served at Texas Health Resources, The Boston Consulting group and TenFold HealthCare Group.

Scholl earned a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Naval Academy.
