Reston, Va.-based Unissant, a business management consulting firm, announced April 9 that the company has been selected by the Dept. of Defense to provide maintenance the DoD Military Health System (MHS) components consisting of AHLTA and the Composite Health Care System (CHCS).

The primary objectives of the AHLTA-CHCS Omnibus Support Services contract are to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA), to modify AHLTA and CHCS code to bring these systems into compliance with Information Assurance (IA) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines, to develop the AHLTA 3.3.9 revised baseline release, to develop the AHLTA Web Print (AWP) 2.0 revised baseline release, and to conduct a number of tasks for CHCS including upgrades to equipment and drug allergy module enhancements.
