Fairfax, Va-based Salient Federal Solutions Inc. (Salient) announced Jan. 5 four promotions within the company’s senior management team. JD Kuhn has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Controller, Finance; Larry Rose has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Contracts and Procurement; Paul Bander has been promoted to Vice President, Contracts and Pricing; and Sean Delaney has been promoted to Vice President, Capture and Proposal Operations.
“Each of these outstanding individuals have proven their value and have been instrumental in Salient’s growth and success,” Salient CEO Brad Antle said. “We are proud of their contributions and confident that they will be even more effective in their new roles as Salient continues to establish itself as an industry leader.”
Kuhn joined Salient in 2010 as Vice President and Controller. He leads the Accounting and Finance function, which is responsible for delivering timely, accurate financial information to a host of internal and external users. Kuhn is responsible for Salient’s Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Independent Audit oversight processes and relationships; development and implementation of domestic and international tax strategy. Prior to joining Salient, Kuhn served as a Senior Vice President at SI International similar to the role at Salient.
Dr. Rose joined Salient in 2010 as Vice President of Contracts and Procurement. Dr. Rose leads the Contracts, Procurement and Pricing function which is responsible for supporting virtually all organizations elements within the company. He provides leadership on contracting and pricing matters; oversees the subcontracts and procurement functions; supports the business development capture process and serves as the Salient Ethics Officer. Dr. Rose has held a number of executive leadership positions with federal contractors, most recently including ICF International and DRC.
Bander joined Salient in 2011 as Director of Pricing and recently led the Salient Labor reclassification project earning the company’s highest achievement – the Pinnacle Award. He provides both strategic and tactical proposal pricing support, including the identification of structural opportunities to improve the company’s competitive positioning; working with cross functional teams to develop and implement recommended courses of action and implementing winning pricing strategies across the company. Prior Salient, Bander held senior leadership positions at BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman Corporation and Federal Data Corporation.
Delaney joined Salient in 2010 as the Director of Corporate Capture Management. He leads key corporate pursuits and the proposal operations team. Delaney’s focus will be on continuously creating business efficiency and strategic customer solutions while enhancing the management and generation of profitable operating results. Prior to joining Salient, he held numerous executive roles including General Manger, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, and Director of Sales.
