The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) announced in October the successful completion of the 2014 Partners program by the 18th graduating class of future government and industry leaders at the 2014 Executive Leadership Conference (ELC) in Williamsburg, Va.
“The Partners program is a very unique leadership development experience for select rising leaders from both industry and government by the very nature of the collaboration, communication, and interaction required,” 2014 Partners program Industry Chair Joe Dawson said. “This year’s class of graduates was challenged on multiple levels throughout the program as they learned, shared and exercised mastery of leadership skills both expected and required of those serving government at the Senior Executive Service (SES) and company office levels.”
The ACT-IAC Partners program is the government IT community’s flagship executive development program for leaders in both government and industry. The program selectively pairs 16 government and 16 industry professionals for a nine-month period. The goal is to prepare these leaders for their roles at the SES and company officer levels. It also enables participants to walk in their counterparts’ shoes to explore a greater understanding of government and industry management roles and responsibilities.
