As the busy fall season arrives, we are seeing a lot of activity in the government contracting industry. Here’s what happened last week, in case you missed it:

We spoke with Brett Dody of Vencore about his transition from public to the private sector, as well as how contractors can continue to foster innovation while keeping an eye on privacy concerns.

Joe Cubba of IBM spoke with WashingtonExec about merging his military and civilian careers and how the intelligence community is approaching technology challenges like mobility and open data.

In our WashingtonExec Roll Call, we shared the executive moves that caught our eyes and ears including eight new hires, eight September work anniversaries, and two contractors’ recent publications.

Sevatec announced the promotion of Burke Cox from Chief Operating Officer to President. In his new role, Cox will lead Sevatec’s aggressive growth initiatives employing organic and acquisitive strategies.

Salient’s Sujey Edward shared his expertise on Agility and how it can make or break companies competing in rapidly changing technology environments. He also provided insight as to how contractors can leverage this methodology for success.

Gretchen McClain was named to Booz Allen Hamilton Holding Corporation’s Board of Directors, where she will focus on the board’s Compensation Committee.

And, the American Council for Technology (ACT) – Industry Advisory Council (IAC) announced its selection of 24 members for its 2015 Voyagers Program, the nine-month competitive leadership program for “rising stars” in government and industry who have a high potential for future advancement.

You can read all of these stories in depth, as well as many more, in our weekly e-magazine here.
