High-technology services firm Sevatec Inc. announced Sept. 10 the promotion of Burke Cox from Chief Operating Officer to President. In this new role, Cox will lead Sevatec’s aggressive growth initiatives employing organic and acquisitive strategies.

“Burke has truly exemplified the character and drive it takes to create winning organizations,” Sevatec’s CEO Sonny Kakar said. “Now, with Burke’s full attention on Sevatec’s value proposition to our customers, partners, employees and the U.S. taxpayer, I’m fully confident Burke will further strengthen and crystalize Sevatec’s unique capabilities and partnerships to further outpace our competition. Burke has been instrumental in energizing Sevatec’s growth trajectory and will continue to shape future solutions that address the federal government’s most pressing challenges and advance their missions.”

Cox led Sevatec’s strategic development and transformation into a top-tier small business IT service provider during the past several years.

“I’m energized by the impact Sevatec has had on the government’s ability to achieve their mission,” Cox said. “Today, more than ever, we must serve both the federal missions and the U.S. taxpayer with equal enthusiasm. This core belief is what drives Sevatec and me personally so that we can collaborate with the government and be part of the solution. I’m excited about this expanded role and increasing my focus on strategic offerings and discriminators that align to emerging market needs while building a growth engine capable of competing with the best and the brightest in the industry.”
