The Chertoff Group last week tapped Dr. Alastair MacWillson, former Accenture, as principal of the security and risk advisory firm.
The former global managing director for Accenture’s technology consulting practice will be tasked in his new post with advising emerging and established technology companies as well as global clients on protecting their critical assets, achieving business objectives, solution development, go-to-market strategies business direction and brand recognition.
“Alastair is a recognized industry leader and seasoned cyber expert with over 23 years of experience addressing critical issues related to technology strategy, security and risk,” said Chertoff Group Co-Founder Michael Chertoff, the executive chairman. “Alastair’s success in leading technology transformation for major organizations and government organizations will help our clients develop effective risk management practices in a complex security environment.”
MacWillson will join The Chertoff Group’s London office. He has also held positions as global managing partner of technology & risk consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers and before that, worked in government service.
Lord John Reid, another Chertoff Group principal based in the company’s London office, said he looks forward to working with MacWillson.
“Few people have such depth and understanding of technology and cyber security than Alastair, Reid said. “His vast experience and insight will be immensely valuable.”
