This week, WashingtonExec is proud to kick off our annual GovCon Award Nominees series. The nominees were interviewed on a range of subjects including the government shutdown, leadership styles, and their outlook for the 2014 market.
In a new series, we highlighted recent winners of the INSA Achievement Awards. The awards ceremony will be held on Nov. 13, and will honor six young professionals in the intelligence and national security sectors for their professional contributions to the community.
Kris Collo, president and CEO at MicroPact, shared “Five Things to Think About Before Selecting a Business Application Development Platform” in the WashingtonExec guest column. If you are craving something a bit sweeter, Chris Parente of Strategic Communications Group delivered the “Hits and Misses of a Wine Manifesto” in our Wine & Dine column.
In executive moves, Ed Casey was named CEO of Serco Group plc, Dr. S. Gulu Gambhir was appointed CTO of Leidos Holdings, Inc., and former Surgeon General of the U.S. Air Force Dr. Charles B. Green was named Chief Medical Officer of Federal Health Practice at Deloitte.
