The 2013 Inspiring Women Benefit Gala recently took place on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Gannet Company, Inc. Headquarters Building in McLean, Va.
The event brought nearly 400 business and community leaders, as well as government officials, together for a one-of-a-kind evening that includeded a silent and live auction. This year’s black-tie event was emceed by WJLA-TV lead co-anchor, Maureen Bunyan.
The gala celebrated fundraising efforts that support the reduced and sliding fee scale counseling, educational programs and resources The Women’s Center offers to women and families who otherwise could not afford them. The event raised over $250,000 this year.
