    This week, we profiled Tish Long, Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). She talked to us about the many changes in the Intelligence Community, the biggest issues impacting big data initiatives with in the Intelligence Community (IC) as well as the topic of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) workforce development, click here.

    We also profiled Wayne Lucernoni, President of Harris IT Services. Having been with Harris for 22 years before stepping into his current role a few months back, he shared his insights on the industries current status and recent technological advances. To read more on Lucernoni, click here.

    This summer has so far seen a multitude of awards for executives in the greater Washington region. Ernst & Young held its Entrepreneur of the Year awards honoring many including Sharon Virts Mozer of FCi Federal in the Government Services division. MITRE President and CEO Alfred Grasso was recently named to STEMconnector’s “100 Leaders in STEM list.” He joins CEOs from Google, GE and Johnson & Johnson to the exclusive list.

    Recent weeks have seen a variety of executive promotions and appointments. One of the bigger executive moves comes from Deb Alderson formerly of SRA International. She has been named President and CEO of Sotera Defense Solutions. After 13 years with the firm, Larry Clifton was recently named Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Vice President of CACI. Prior to his promotion, Clifton had been serving as Acting Chief Human Resources Officer.
