CACI International Inc (CACI) today announced Suzan Zimmerman will take the helm of the IT solutions firm as senior vice president of strategic campaigns.

She is tasked in that post with leading CACI’s business development focus on evaluating, bidding and capturing market opportunities.

Zimmerman previously served as senior vice president for corporate development for QinetiQ North America Inc and brings to CACI 25 years of leadership experience.

Before working at QinetiQ NA, Zimmerman teamed with Science Applications International Corporation as Senior Vice President to develop domestic and international business strategies.

Ken Asbury, CACI’s President and Chief Executive Officer, spoke to Zimmerman’s expertise in a press statement released Monday by the company.

“CACI is moving forward with a highly accomplished business development team and a focused strategy for winning more business,” Asbury said. “We welcome Suzan Zimmerman to manage our pursuit of campaign-level large market opportunities, and are confident her contributions will position us to be even more competitive in the future, offer more capabilities to more customers across all our markets, and help us achieve our business and financial goals.”

Zimmerman also serves with 27 other individuals on the Tower Club Tysons Corner Board of Governors where she advises, counsels and makes recommendations to management on club rules, policies, events and functions as well as disciplinary matters.

WashingtonExec recently interviewed Zimmerman and asked her about advice to her two sons. Click here to read about what her son, Max Chernoff, takes away from the advice “people won’t believe in your product unless they believe in you”.
