Earlier this morning, it was announced that Mac Curtis will take on the position of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The SI Organization (the SI), effective July 1, 2013. Bill Graham, current President and CEO of the SI, is retiring after 10 years with the company. Graham will continue to work with the SI as Vice Chairman.
“It has been a privilege working with Bill over the last year,” said Curtis. “The SI has built a tremendous platform in intelligence and has opportunities to bring its unique technologies and services to adjacent markets. I look forward to working with the team at the SI and adding lasting value to the Company and our partnerships with the SI’s customers.”
Curtis is the former President and CEO of Vangent Inc., a top federal provider of healthcare information-technology and business systems. Under Curtis’ leadership, the company was acquired by General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) in August 2011 for $960 million. Curtis has since worked as Senior Vice President and Operative Executive at Veritas Capital.

Mac’s personal style, focus, and no-nonsense approach to business and leadership will help take the SI to the next level,” said Sid Fuchs, President and CEO of MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB).
Curtis is a past Chairman of the Professional Services Council (PSC), as well as a former Fed100 winner (2011) and Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce GovCon Award Winner (greater than $300 million business, 2011). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute (VMI).

The SI is a full life cycle, mission-focused systems engineering and integration capabilities company of approximately 2,000 employees, headquartered in Valley Forge, Pa. The company was acquired by Veritas Capital in 2010, when it was divested by Lockheed Martin.

Curtis spoke earlier this month to the WashingtonExec Federal Business Council about creating value for company shareholders as well as lessons learned from the frontlines. He also spoke to the WashingtonExec Executive Assistant Committee on how EAs can add unique value to the c-suite.
The SI recently acquired Applied Communication Sciences (ACS), a cybersecurity and information assurance company, in May of this year.
