David Herr, President of BAE Systems’ Support Solutions sector, is now Executive VP of Service Sectors, effective immediately. Herr also joins Linda P. “Throughout his career, Dave has directed complex, global organizations to fulfill critical and technologically challenging missions in both the service and product sectors,” said Hudson. “I look forward to working with Dave in his new role at a time when the entire BAE Systems, Inc. leadership team is focused on ensuring that BAE Systems is positioned to identify, pursue, and capture existing and emerging opportunities.”

Herr succeeds Lawrence (Larry) Prior and will lead the development and implementation of integrated business strategies to support the Service Sectors in maintaining their current market leadership positions, pursuing new opportunities in the U.S. and internationally, and creating new market strongholds.

Most recently, Herr was President of the Support Solutions sector. Prior to this, he has held roles as vice president of Commercial Avionics for BAE Systems’ Platform Solutions business, VP of operations for the company’s former Electronics & Integrated Solutions operating group, VP of operations for Platform Solutions.

Before BAE Systems, Herr held positions in procurement, program management, production operations, and product support for General Electric Aircraft Engines and Lockheed Martin.

Herr has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from St. Francis University and a master’s of Business Administration from Northern Kentucky University.
