DRC Plans Organizational Realignment for 2013

Dynamics Research Corporation (DRC) plans to go through an organizational realignment for 2013, company officials announced last Friday.The technology and management consulting company look s to capitalize on the success it had in 2012 when it captured two-thirds of its business from best-funded federal markets and boosted new business opportunities by 60 percent.“We go-to-market with deep, proven expertise aligned to client needs in the best funded federal markets – healthcare, research and development, homeland security, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and financial regulatory reform,” DRC chairman and chief executive officer Jim Regan said. “These are challenging times in our industry, and I’m confident in the abilities of our leadership team. “DRC will harness both new and veteran administrative and operational leadership to support the business’s market positioning for the new year.The company’s three divisions—High Performance Techonology Group, Federal Group and Defense Group—are helmed by a combined several decades of experience by three key senior vice president/general managers, Paul Strasser, Chuck Schefer and Irv Zaks, respectively.Strasser will lead cloud computing, software engineering and analytics for health organizations. He heads three divisions, including: Health and Enterprise Systems, led by Gay Porter, Vice President and General Manager; Science and Technology, led by Curt Bedke, Vice President and General Manager; and Advanced Systems, led by Joe Leonelli, Vice President and General Manager.Schefer will focus on cybersecurity and risk management, clinical health care, mobile computing and technology strategy and governance for both federal and civilian sectors. He leads four divisions: National Security Solutions, led by Bryan Hennessy, Director and General Manager Civilian Agency Solutions, led by Daphne Zweifel, Vice President and General Manager; Homeland Security Solutions, led by Chuck Schefer on an acting basis; and Defense Services Solutions, led by Jerry Picard, Vice President and General Manager.Zaks will deliver training and knowledge management, program management services, as well as data and software engineering to the defense community. He oversees three divisions:  Defense Technology Solutions, led by Mo Verling, Vice President and General Manager; Defense Systems, led by Frank Grosso, Vice President and General Manager; and Readiness and Training, led by Ron Smits, Director and General Manager.Operational support comes from several new administrative appointments, including Helen Tsingos, Chief Legal Officer and Pete Gaaserud, Vice President and General Manager, Contracts.Regan looks forward to using his team to expand DRC’s position to attract greater opportunities for 2013.“We have a talented and vibrant team of experts recognized as thought leaders in their fields, who are committed and results driven.
