SRA International, Inc. has won a five-year $92 million contract to provide support for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Health Care Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS).
HIGLAS is the system of record for financial management and reporting that tracks each Medicare claim, financial transaction, grant, and administrative payment.
Under the contract award, SRA will provide operations and maintenance support for CMS’s Oracle Federal Financials System, supporting potential enhancements that include integration of business process re-engineering and new functionality mandated by the Affordable Care Act.
“SRA is proud to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services,” said Paul Nedzbala, Health Group Senior Vice President. “This is a mission-critical system for the CMS and the SRA team recognizes the importance of this work in support of CMS’ mission to deliver healthcare to millions of Americans.”
As part of that mission, CMS administers the nation’s Medicare program and administers the Medicaid program and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). HHS is the principal agency responsible for protecting the health of U.S. Americans.
SRA is a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to government organizations.
Earlier this week, SRA announced Deb Alderson as the company’s new COO, effective immediately.
