WashingtonExec Three Pieces of Advice Series:
“If you could give your kids only three pieces of advice, what would they be?”
Today’s advice is from Sundar Vaidyanathan, CEO of Karsun Solutions.
1. Have a positive attitude: Most often good things and bad things don’t just happen because of others or environment. Life is a journey with peaks and valleys. Continue to remain positive especially when you are in valley.
2. Be confident: Retrospect your past to gain deep understanding about yourself. Don’t let others define who you are. While feedback from others is important but remember they are mere projections on how they perceive you. Continue to build self-confidence by stretching your capabilities beyond your comfort zone but not to the extent of breaking point.
3. Be considerate to others: Listen intently to understand others perspectives even if you don’t agree with them. This will help you come up with a creative solution particularly when there is a conflict. Don’t react based on ego or arrogance. Let the other person save face.
