Before the rainstorm, power outages, and chaos, WashingtonExec hosted its third invitation-only Executive Happy Hour for Government Contracting at Bertucci’s in Tysons Corner on June 27.  Despite the rising temperatures and summer vacation schedules, the event brought and connected over 100 executives from Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Attendees ranged from WashingtonExec members of the Leadership Council, Mobility Council, Big Data Council, and MARCOM Committee, as well as non-members of small, emerging and large federal contractors.

Early arrivals and late-evening attendees made for a great opportunity for executives to mix and mingle with each other in a relaxed and informal setting. No service providers were invited to the event. Executives were able to connect with former colleagues and friends and many connected with those who they had previously only interacted via phone and email. One executive even ran into her former college roommate.

WashingtonExec‘s mission through these exclusive events is to connect executives of consequence in government contracting through targeted and trusted forums.

“Attending WashingtonExec events are always an inspiration. Chatting with the most impressive leaders of our industry gives you an opportunity for creative feedback on ideas and directions. Truly, they should not be missed, ” said Suzan Zimmerman, Senior Vice President, QinetiQ North America.

Special thanks to Greg Baroni, CEO of Attain, LLC, for sponsoring the event.
