Agilex announced last week that it will expand its national security leadership with the appointments of Marianne Meins as President of the company’s Intel/Defense Sector business and John G. Edwards to the position of Vice President for National Security Initiatives.
Both will work together to enhance the goals of Agilex to provide mission and technology solutions to the national and homeland security, healthcare, and public sectors.
Meins is a 25 year industry veteran in leading high-growth enterprises serving the national security community, as well as deep technical expertise in intelligence applications and cybersecurity.
She will use her extensive experience and leadership in defense, intelligence and homeland security sectors to lead the company’s business operations supporting the Defense and Intelligence Communities, including business growth, solution development, service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Edwards will be tasked to lead strategic programs focused on the use of emerging technologies to address critical challenges within the national security arena. These technologies include advanced analytics, smartphones and tablets, and cloud computing.
“Marianne will play a critical role in working with John Edwards and the rest of our team to build upon their success. Based on her track record for growing businesses within the national security arena, we are confident that she will help us expand our presence across additional agencies and within key markets, such as cybersecurity,” said Agilex President John Gall.
Prior to her appointment, Meins served as Senior Vice President for National Security Initiatives at Secure Mission Solutions and as Vice President and General Manager for the company’s Systems Engineering and Security Sector business. She has also served in key executive positions with cyber and intelligence firms including Olive Group North America and General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems.
Edwards is a 20 year veteran of the intelligence community, including 14 years within the CIA providing technical operations and engineering support overseas. He also served as a Senior Agency Official within the Office of the Director of Central Intelligence (DCI), where he played an integral role in implementing the DCI’s strategic and operational priorities following 9/11.
