Recently, Sotera was awarded a contract to continue its support of the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, D.C.  The $6 million, one-year contract includes 4 option years which if exercised will increase the total contract value to $34 million.

Under the contract Sotera will support the Physical Acoustics Branch in its theoretical and experimental studies of acousto-elastic systems. Much of the branch’s work is directed towards developing advanced techniques in antisubmarine warfare and mine countermeasures.

Sotera President & CEO John Hillen said, “As a longtime mission partner of the NRL we have leveraged our C4ISR and mission systems expertise to support the valuable research done by the organization. We are pleased to further our commitment to help the NRL design and deploy critical systems that enhance the capabilities of our U.S. military.”
