Navstar, Inc. has appointed Bruce Morton as VP of Operations. Bruce is the fourth new senior executive hired by the company this year.

Morton has nearly 30 years of experience in supporting and managing information technology programs for federal government customers, particularly in the intelligence community. He has been directly involved in all phases of systems procurement, development, delivery and operations.

In this new role he will establish best practices which the Company will use to build consistency in IT service delivery across its customer base. In addition, he will create a framework which the Company will use to target new federal opportunities and manage their capture process.

“Bruce’s addition to Navstar completes a carefully-crafted 2011 goal of expanding our management breadth and depth through key strategic hires,” said Joanna Alexis, founder and President/CEO. “The combination of his operations acumen and personal contacts within the federal government sector will enable us to embark on an aggressive growth plan with the utmost assurance of meeting these ambitious objectives.”

Previously, Bruce helped to double the revenue of TRS Consulting, Inc. Prior to that, he served as a Director at Oracle Corporation where he oversaw the company’s software development, administration and applications support to the Intelligence Community. Earlier in his career, he served as Deputy Director at Quality System Inc. where he led a staff of engineers, developers, and technicians on technology contracts for more than 12 years.

“I am enthusiastic about the Company’s forward-looking strategy and the ways in which it is transforming its approach to serving the changing federal government marketplace,” said Morton.
