On July 28, 2011, WashingtonExec hosted its launch event at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. The launch event was one of many to come based on the philosophy of outcome-based networking and meaningful, professional connecting designed exclusively for senior executives from WashingtonExec. Greg Baroni, CEO of Attain, spoke about what he was looking for from WashingtonExec in the months and years to come.
Paul Smith of Red Hat was the exclusive sponsor of the event. Over 35 executives from both the public and private sectors were in attendance. Italian style dinner, Hors d’œuvres, along with the opportunity to smoke a fine cigar overlooking the golf course cemented the evening.
