    Daon Awarded Fingerprints Contract with IRS

    Daon, a worldwide provider of identity assurance software and services, announced that the Daon Trusted Identity Services (DTIS) was awarded a contract with Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The contract will give fingerprinting and FBI background checking services for the one million people who prepare and assist with federal tax returns.  The contract allows a cost-effective and appropriate way to prove the company gathers ethical standards.  Because DTIS works closely with The UPS Store® about 450 UPS Store locations with also collect fingerprints.

    “Daon is extremely proud to be participating in such an important initiative,” said Daon CEO Tom Grissen.  “Our strategic relationship with The UPS Store provides us with an extensive capability that extends our ability to collect and process fingerprint and biographic data, enabling us to address the needs of the IRS Return Preparer community nationwide.”
