Why Watch

McHenry is always innovating and is now improving the cost estimation function to better use metrics and market insights, guided by government feedback. In 2024, his team will keep using internal data, tools based on metrics and automation to improve its work and gather data more effectively for estimates and reporting. Making the company’s costs clearer in the proposal process helps Peraton build trust and reliability with its customers.

“The nature of this business is trust, accuracy, and agility,” McHenry said. “The customer values our partnership because we take their feedback and directly apply it to our proposals to, not only anticipate their needs but, skate to where the puck is going. When we see an opportunity to enhance or improve — it is never a question — we take it and act swiftly. Our ability to evolve rapidly stems from Peraton’s culture. We do the can’t be done.”
