VariQ announced Feb. 17 that it has achieved ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certifications.

“VariQ is a leading provider of innovative and secure solutions to the complex and ever-changing technological challenges of today, and we take our mission very seriously,” VariQ CEO Ben Edson said. “Being awarded these two certifications validates the maturity of our corporate infrastructure and better prepares us to compete for some of the largest contract vehicles being issued by our primary client, the Federal Government.”

ISO 20000 is the international best practice standard for IT Service Management (ITSM) and requires the establishment of and compliance with a service management system. ISO 27001 is a globally recognized standard for the establishment and certification of an information security management system (ISMS).

The certification was performed by BSI, an ANAB accredited certification body based in the U.S.
