Last week the Decision Sciences International Corporation appointed Dr. Stanton D. Sloane as the company’s new President and CEO. Decision Sciences is a leading provider of advanced security and detection systems that protects the global community from terrorism and the smuggling of illicit materials. Sloane is the former President and CEO of SRA International, a $1.8 billion NYSE-listed information solutions company that was sold last month to a Private Equity Firm.
“We are extremely pleased that we were able to attract an industry veteran like Dr. Sloane to lead Decision Sciences into full commercialization and an international rollout of our advanced security and detection technology, specifically the Multi-Mode Passive Detection System (MMPDS),” said Decision Sciences Chairman Dr. Gene Ray.
Before working for SRA, Sloane headed Lockheed Martin’s Integrated Systems and Solutions, a $5 billion systems integration unit that aides the U.S. Department of Defense and other national security organizations. Sloane is also Lockheed Martin’s Management and Data Systems’ President, where he consummated several strategic acquisitions.
Sloane began his civilian career with General Electric after serving in the U.S. Navy.
“With nearly three decades of front-line experience in the national security industry, Dr. Sloane brings leadership and a wealth of experience in effectively and successfully launching and building domestic and international corporate operations, which is exactly what Decision Sciences needs at its present stage of development,” said Stuart J. Rabin, Decision Sciences Board Member.
