    Freedom Information Systems Inc. Names Douglas Donegan VP of Business Development

    Freedom Information Systems Inc., of Crystal City, Va., announced Jan. 5 the appointment of Douglas Donegan as the new Vice President of Business Development.

    “Doug is a seasoned executive and brings years of military and industry experience with him to Freedom,” Freedom President Mark Ogles said. “He served in the U.S. Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer, at BAE as Director of Performance Management and most recently as Vice President of Operations at Berico Technologies. Doug has significant experience in both large and small government contracting companies and has a demonstrated track record of business growth.”

    Donegan will be responsible for new business capture, identifying and implementing new strategic opportunities and will help evaluate, initiate and collaborate on key partnerships that support Freedom’s strategic growth plan.

    Donegan earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Science in engineering and technology management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in conjunction with the School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and Co-founder and President of the US STEM Foundation chartered with introducing students to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) careers.
