Fairfax, Va.-based Sevatec Inc. announced Oct. 17 that it has been awarded a prime contract with the Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), to support the agency’s Data Business Intelligence Section (DBIS).
“At a time when immigration related challenges have reached the highest levels of attention in the U.S., we are particularly honored to receive this level of confidence from USCIS to strengthen the security and integrity of the USCIS immigration system,” Sevatec’s CEO Sonny Kakar said in a statement. “As a nationwide government agency, USCIS stakeholders rely heavily on effective customer-oriented immigration benefits and support services, and flexible and robust immigration policies and programs. Our domain and technical expertise with data analytics and business intelligence will provide access to accurate, timely and cost effective critical information, enabling effective decision-making by USCIS.”
The contract has a total estimated value of more than $25 million and was awarded under Sevatec’s Chief Information Officer – Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3) government-wide acquisition vehicle.
The high technology firm will provide a wide range of architectural, systems development, business intelligence and data analytics support services to transform and modernize the USCIS data warehouse environment and BI reporting capabilities.
The Sevatec team includes subcontractor, CRGT Inc., which provides data analytics, data warehouse, data management and business analytics services.
WashingtonExec last covered Sevatec when the company won a contract to manage the operational needs of the NOAA Cyber Security Center (NCSC) and the Enterprise Security Oversight Center (ESOC), which are parts of NOAA’s Information Technology Security Program.
