The Boy Scouts of the National Capital Area Council hosted the 2014 Technology Good Scout Award Luncheon on Oct. 7, at the Tysons Corner Marriott.
Ken Asbury was honored for his commitment to advancing the technology sector while exemplifying the values of the Boy Scouts of America. He is the CEO and President of CACI International Inc., an information solutions and services company.
“CACI is more than proud to serve an organization such as the Scouts,” Asbury said. “It is fantastic that the Boy Scouts are putting so much time and energy into promoting technology skills.”
Opening remarks were given by event chair Paul Dillahay and Council Executive Les Baron, a Color Guard presentation and a Scout Speaker.
The event raised $100,000. The proceeds will support the general operating budget of the local National Capital Area Council, which includes programming for nearly 55,000 youth. The event was not held in 2013, but raised $85,000 in 2012.
