SAVE THE DATE: Cyber Jobs for America is coming to the Washington D.C. area Thursday, September 22, 2011. Hosted by the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA), the daylong event will focus on industry, government and academic approaches to the skill sets, education requirements and certifications every sector requires for various cyber career fields.
The event will consist of three panel sessions with established professionals in the cyber field discussing the following questions:
• What industry and government cyber related professions should America’s youth be aspiring to be?
• How are these jobs being defined by industry and government and what skill-sets are needed for each?
• To be a knowledgeable cyber professional, which majors and courses should students focus on at our colleges & universities – at the under-graduate, graduate and PHD levels?
This year’s keynote speakers are Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD) and Howard Schmidt, Cyber Executive of the National Security Council.
The event will take place at The Marriott Inn & Conference Center Auditorium at the University of Maryland University College in Hyattsville, Md. The registration deadline is September 15, 2011. For the full program agenda, please click here.
