“Windward has been experiencing tremendous growth and is at pivotal juncture in its evolution. We were looking to expand the breadth and depth of our management team as we prepare to take the next step as a company. We are excited to have someone with John’s background join the team at Windward and help chart the course forward,” said Sean McDermott, CEO and founder of Windward. “With over 18 years related experience and subject matter expertise, John will prove invaluable to both current and future company initiatives.”
Prior to his current role at Windward, Scott served as Vice President of Emerging Technologies at CRGT. He also previously served as Program Executive for BMC Software, where he was responsible for the Service Automation and Atrium Product Portfolios following the acquisition of RealOps. He had been Vice President of Product Development for RealOps from its inception.
Scott held executive positions with Digex (now part of Verizon Business Services) and NTT America (NTT/Verio). He was also Co-founder and Vice President for the MSP, SevenSpace (acquired by Sun Microsystems), and began his career at Accenture.
“I am thrilled and honored to have been selected for this position and to have this exceptional opportunity. Windward has developed a genuinely unique position in the marketplace delivering highly differentiated services, which are essential to all of the major IT trends we see in the market – IT as a Service (XaaS), Cloud Computing, Enterprise Mobility and others” said John Scott.
”I look forward to helping drive Windward’s vision to aid customers with the transformation in the delivery of IT Services from the traditional stove pipe disciplines to a truly customer centric approach,” he continued. “This shift is central to the success of tomorrow’s IT organization as they position to better meet the needs of their customers and varied constituents.”
