Spear, Inc. (Spear) has announced its recent investment in a growing data analytics practice. The firm signed a reseller agreement with Splunk Inc. to offer its software to meet these increasing requirements.
“Spear’s investments in key hires, training, and other resources related to our relationship with Splunk will continue to enhance the partnership and provide increased benefit to our Federal customers,” said Gino Antonelli, co-founder and COO of Spear. “Coupling Splunk’s top of the line offerings with Spear’s unmatched level of service and innovation, we’ll be well equipped to handle the ever-changing mandates and requirements of the Federal marketplace.”
With government mandates and increasing compliance needs, federal agencies are required to track massive amounts of data and utilize this information effectively without an increased budget.
New open data policies require agencies to generate information in uniform, machine-readable formats. Agencies must then manipulate this data to produce actionable insights to increase productivity, meet compliance mandates and make informed decisions.
Spear consultants and engineers are now able to offer SplunkEnterprise, a powerful, agile and easy to use solution to these demands, allowing federal decision makers to access and utilize machine-generated data while being restricted by ever-tightening budget requirements.
“We are delighted to align with a customer-focused solution provider like Spear. Their leaders are IT veterans in the federal industry that know how to architect and deliver results,” said Bill Cull, vice president of Public Sector at Splunk. “Splunk is pleased to see their dedicated investments in resources and personnel aimed toward solving challenges that our Federal CIO customers face today.”
