The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council‘s (ACT-IAC) Institute for Innovation is set to launch a new all-day recognition program for government and industry on February 6, 2014 at the Ronald Reagan Center.

The Igniting Innovation 2014 Showcase and Awards recognize IT innovations throughout government including hardware, software, services and solutions.

The showcase will feature the top 30 innovative solutions selected through an open submission process. Based on social media voting during the showcase, the top eight solutions will be invited to give a five-minute “pitch” describing their solution. Again, using social media voting, the top awardee will be selected for the Igniting Innovation Award.

Call for nominations are now open with a submission deadline of November 15, 2013. Nominations are open to all and free to submit.

Admission to the event is free. For event registration or to submit an innovation nomination and for more information on the selection process, click here.
