    Sage Communications Wins Two American Marketing Association Awards

    Sage Communications is the recipient of two American Marketing Association Washington, D.C. (AMADC) awards: the AMADC Top Marketer award and the AMADC Outstanding Marketer award. The former honors marketing projects done in the greater D.C. metro area, with an emphasis on the results. Sage accepted its AMADC Awards at the 80th Anniversary Top Marketer Awards Gala at the Carnegie Institution for Science on October 25th, sponsored by AMADC and the Washington Business Journal.

    AMADC Top Marketer Award applicants are judged on elements including innovation and creativity, achievements, challenges overcome, and impact on the business and industry. Sage’s marketing campaign for the National Cherry Blossom Festival received the AMADC Outstanding Marketer Award.

    “For both the National Cherry Blossom Festival Centennial Celebration and the D.C. Jazz Festival, Sage provided a unique combination of branding, marketing, public relations and social media support to meet the individual Festival’s goals,” said David Gorodetski, co-founder and COO, Sage Communications, “We believe that results are the true measure of any integrated marketing campaign. Receiving two AMADC awards is a great honor, as the results focus of the recognition is a key to the unique value Sage provides.”

    Sage was recognized in the non-profit category for its work on the 2012 D.C. Jazz Festival (DCJF) and the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s Centennial Celebration. The Festival saw a 29 percent increase in web site traffic and a 14 percent increase in Festival app downloads over 2011, as well as national syndication of the National Cherry Blossom Parade.
