David Helms, Vice President of the Cyber Security Center of Excellence, presented IPv6 Security Threats and Vulnerabilities in IPv4-Only Networks at the Ft. Carson Cyber Security Seminar and IT Expo. Announced by Salient Federal Solutions, Inc., this expo was held in Fort Carson, CO today.
“Because so many devices come with IPv6 enabled, agencies are already deploying IPv6 whether they know it or not,” said Helms. “They are not gaining the benefits IPv6 implementations, yet they are exposed to cyber security vulnerabilities associated with IPv6.
