Tyto Athene has named John Coleman as chief operating officer and Michael Polmar as chief growth officer, following the acquisitions of Microtel and MindPoint Group. This marks Tyto’s third executive appointment in four months, after Dennis Kelly became CEO in March.
“These two strategic hires will be instrumental to Tyto’s future success within the government technology and national security market,” Kelly said.
“Michael and John bring extensive experience and a business strategy acumen that makes them an invaluable addition to our executive team. We are confident that their leadership and expertise will accelerate Tyto’s growth trajectory and fortify our strong position in the market.”
In his role as COO, Coleman will oversee Tyto’s day-to-day business operations, drive strategic initiatives and ensure operational excellence. He brings experience in producing results, propelling growth and cultivating a culture of innovation and collaboration to the role.
Before Tyto, Coleman was sector president for citizen security and public services at Peraton, Inc., overseeing a $1.8 billion sector and leading a team of over 4,000 employees and 2,000 subcontractor partners.
As CGO, Polmar will execute a business strategy to produce strong organic growth for Tyto. He brings over 30 years of experience providing growth and operations leadership in the technology and government contracting industry.
Prior to Tyto, Polmar was Vencore’s senior business development leader, and led business development for all of ManTech’s Defense and State Department business. Most recently, he was CGO for Bart & Associates, where he led growth activities and expanded B&A’s federal market.
