Accenture Federal Services has tapped Vince Vlasho to lead a team that brings the company’s capabilities to Defense Department and intelligence agencies.

Vlasho, who’s a former Navy intelligence officer, previously served as the AFS Defense Agencies sector lead and as the Navy client account lead. Under his leadership, the Defense Logistics Agency became one of AFS’s largest and longest-tenured defense accounts.

Vlasho joined Accenture in 2005 after graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy and serving on active duty as an intelligence officer for seven years. He later retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve.

AFS chief executive John Goodman said Vlasho’s leadership at the company will help its customers accelerate the development and deployment of digital technologies and help meet their most vexing mission challenges.

“His thirty plus years of experience, his success in working with our key ecosystem partners, and his own military service, all enable him to lead our team and bring innovative solutions and the latest technology capabilities to our clients,” Goodman added.

Vlasho said he was excited to lead the AFS defense team.

“I look forward to working with all of AFS’s defense and intelligence clients to help them take advantage of new, emerging technologies that accelerate our national security advantage for the next generation,” he said.
