    RJ Kolton Joins Synectics as SVP of Business Development

    Former Data Systems Analysts executive and retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Randy J. Kolton has joined Synectics as senior vice president of business development.

    Kolton brings more than 40 years of senior executive management, strategic planning and business development experience in the federal and defense service industry to Synectics, and among those, 21 years of federal and defense professional services. He most recently was SVP of BD for Data Systems Analysts, Inc. from May 2013 to October 2019, serving the Defense Department, federal civil agencies, state and local governments and commercial entities.

    Prior to that, Kolton was SVP of strategy and corporate development for Ideal Innovations Inc., and spent 12 years as a senior executive for L-3 Communications Services Group and MPRI, a division of L-3 Communications.

    Kolton retired from the Army as a lieutenant colonel in 1998. He served for more than 22 years as an infantryman and military strategist in various command and staff positions in the White House, U.S. Central Command, Department of the Army and the 82d Airborne and 3d Infantry Divisions.

    He’s a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, serves as vice president and member of the board of directors for Mid-Tier Advocacy, Inc. and is on the advisory board for the George Mason University College of Education and Human Development.

    And in 2018, Kolton was named WashingtonExec 2018 Pinnacle Awards Business Development Executive of the Year.
