Parsons Chief Operating Officer Carey Smith is among the finalists for 2019 Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards — commonly known as the industry’s Oscars.
An experienced executive in the aerospace and defense industry, Smith is a finalist in the $300 million revenue category for the Executive of the Year.
At Parsons, Smith is responsible for the profits and losses of the federal and infrastructure businesses, as well as implementing the corporate organic growth strategy.
Smith is on the NN Inc. board of directors and the Professional Services Council’s Executive Committee and board of directors. Additionally, she’s a member of the Intelligence National Security Alliance.
Smith was among WashingtonExec’s 2019’s Top 25 Execs to Watch.
Previous to being appointed Parsons COO, Smith served as president of defense and space at Honeywell.
