Advanced Concepts and Technologies International, LLC participated in and sponsored the 2019 Professional Services Council’s annual conference from April 28-30.
Held at The Greenbrier in West Virginia, the conference is a government contracting event where PSC members are joined by government and industry leaders discussing the current challenges, opportunities and insights. They meet for 2.5 days of networking, informational settings and recreational activities. Last year, 500 PSC members attended, and more than 40 government and industry experts spoke.
This year’s keynote speakers were Alan Shaffer, deputy undersecretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment at the Defense Department; William Evanina, director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center; and Dan Brouillette, deputy secretary of the Energy Department.
“The PSC has once again done an outstanding job of bringing the public and private sector together to address the issues and needs of our nation” said Michael Niggel, ACT I CEO and PSC board member. “The success of this year’s annual meeting reflects the professionalism that PSC brings to the GovCon industry.”
The conference also held several panels and discussions on cybersecurity in contract awards, Other Transaction Authorities, security clearance challenges, growing from a small to large company, changes in the acquisition landscape, workforce and more.
