Health IT firm AbleVets has elevated Hildi Pineda to the role of president, where she will drive continued corporate growth and help navigate the company from a small to a mid-tier business, the company announced.
Pinedia, who previously served as chief growth officer, helped AbleVets achieve 400 percent year-over-year growth.
Pineda was also instrumental in AbleVets’ recent selection as a core partner supporting Cerner in its mission to modernize Veterans Affairs Department’s electronic health care records, the company said.
“I am excited to undertake the challenge of leading AbleVets during this critical juncture in our corporate history,” Pineda said. “As we transition from a small to mid-tier business, my overarching goal will be to continue to deliver best-in-class solutions that align with our clients’ missions and needs. To me, it is this ability, more than any other, that underlies the incredible success we’ve experienced thus far.”
Pineda, who was one of the company’s first employees, was recognized earlier this year with a spot on FCW’s 2018 Federal 100 list. In addition, AbleVets was named AFCEA International’s 2018 Small Business of the Year.
Pineda will report directly to AbleVet founder and CEO Wyatt Smith.
“I’ve worked with Hildi for many years and seen firsthand her ability to lead strategic change, build relationships and strengthen operations,” Smith said. “Hildi is passionate about our mission of advancing citizen health, especially that of Veterans and Active Duty, and dedicated to creating a work culture that empowers our employees to achieve that mission. I thank Hildi for her outstanding contributions to date and look forward to the successes that lie ahead.”
