BAE Systems has promoted long-time company executive Guy Montminy to the position of president of the defense and aerospace giant’s Platforms & Services sector.
The appointment was effective Oct. 1.
“Guy brings a wealth of experience, strong business acumen and program management expertise that will advance our Platforms & Services businesses and help to drive operational excellence throughout the sector,” said BAE Systems President and CEO Jerry DeMuro.
Most recently, Montminy was senior vice president and deputy general manager for the Platforms & Services sector. He has held several executive roles in his more than 30 years with BAE Systems, including as senior vice president of finance.
Montminy holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts and a master’s degree in accountancy from Bentley College.
Montminy succeeds Erwin Bieber, who will remain an adviser to the company until his retirement in 2019.
“Throughout almost 35 years with BAE Systems, Erwin has demonstrated his passion and commitment to our customers and employees as he assumed responsibility for some of our most challenging business situations,” DeMuro said. “Erwin’s contributions to BAE Systems are many and impactful, and they will help position our business for success well into the future.”
