D.C. area developers, engineers, designers and students passionate about coding, design and technology are invited to a compete in a local hackathon July 14 -15. The event theme is leveraging the vast amount of information available today to improve quality of life and the world around us.
Attain is hosting the hackathon and plans to make it an annual event.
“As a next-generation consulting firm, Attain is continuously seeking ways to create value,” said Manish Agarwal, Attain president and chief operating officer. “This event is an opportunity to reach into our region’s deep talent pool and to affect change that can improve the lives of others.”
The hackathon will take place at the Tysons Boulevard office in McLean, Virginia, beginning Friday evening 6 p.m. and is expected to wrap up at approximately 9 p.m. Saturday. Industry-focused problem statements will be revealed at the event.
The top professional team or individual will be awarded a $1,500 cash prize, and the runner-up will receive $1,000. The top student or student team will be awarded $500, and the runner-up $300. Additional prizes will be awarded in various categories and for puzzle contests throughout the event.
