    Cognosante Names Eileen Cassidy Rivera Vice President of Marketing And Communications

    Eileen Rivera, Cognosante
    Cognosante has named Eileen Cassidy Rivera Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Rivera will lead the company’s marketing, communications and branding programs. Rivera will report to CEO Michele Kang.“Eileen is a well-known communications and branding expert who will play an instrumental role in building Cognosante’s presence as a leader in healthcare transformation.  She joins the company at an important time when we need effective communications strategies to catalyze our dynamic growth,” said Kang.Prior to Cognosante, Rivera served as Vice President of Communications and Investor Relations at Vangent, a General Dynamics company, where she led the company’s external and internal communications and investor relations programs from 2005-2011.  When the company was sold by Pearson plc to Veritas Capital in 2007, Rivera played an integral role in forming Vangent’s corporate branding and communications strategies.  Rivera’s work at Vangent earned numerous industry rankings and awards, culminating with being named Government Contractor of the Year in 2011.Early in her career, Rivera served in the Clinton Administration where she held senior roles at the Commerce Department, Small Business Administration and the Peace Corps.  At Hill & Knowlton, she managed a diverse portfolio of international and corporate clients.Rivera was named a finalist for Corporate PR Executive of the Year by PR News in 2010.
