Recently, CyberPatriot announced that it has completed its IV’s pre-competition survey. This survey was distributed to 1,000-plus student competitors, gathering information on participants’ general knowledge of all things cyber.
CyberPatriot, established by the Air Force Association (AFA), is the nation’s largest high school cyber security challenge. The competition was designed to give students a hands-on learning experience in cybersecurity and inspire students to consider science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields in their studies.
CyberPatriot Commissioner Bernie Skoch said, “CyberPatriot is a fun and exciting competition, but it’s about much more than that. This program is about making an overall difference in improving the workforce of tomorrow by equipping students of today with the skills they need to prosper.”
The survey asked questions addressing students’ understanding of cyber
security. Results will be compared with a similar survey after the completion of this year’s competition. This survey is an analytical effort to measure the effect CyberPatriot is having on the students who participate in the competition.
