    Caryn McGarry

    Chief Human Resources Officer, ICF

Faced with a time of unprecedented challenges to mental health and personal well-being, Caryn McGarry is supporting ICF employees through a refresh of the company’s DEI program. The program was revamped to have a strong focus on belonging, while HR programs were prioritized to help employees grow and thrive.

ICF is committed to creating a workplace where voices are heard, perspectives are valued, and everyone feels a sense of belonging. This is achieved through ongoing partnerships, open dialogue and advocacy, recognizing that meaningful change takes time. While there’s always work to be done, McGarry believes putting people first leads to business growth.

“By and large, the people who are drawn to ICF want to do meaningful work,” McGarry said. “The more that my team and I can listen to our employees and support them in their work, the stronger we are as ICF overall.”

    Why Watch

McGarry and her team are hyperfocused on readiness this year. With the steady rise of artificial intelligence, and particularly generative AI, it’s more important than ever to ensure the company is taking the right steps to safely and responsibly apply emerging technologies.

Fun fact: McGarry prioritizes being a wife and mom. She and her husband are raising two active daughters and make it a point to attend their events and maintain a healthy, balanced life. They escape to their lake house as often as possible to recharge and enjoy family time. Balancing family and work is important to her — it’s about setting the right example for her girls and her team.
